Mammography-based AI (Image-only) Risk Prediction Models

This evidence review addresses the use of mammography-based AI risk prediction software intended to generate a 5-year risk prediction of breast cancer based on a bilateral screening mammogram in eligible individuals without known breast cancer at presentation. The purpose of mammography-based AI risk prediction software in individuals undergoing bilateral screening mammography is to predict the 5-year risk of individuals who will receive a diagnosis of breast cancer or develop breast cancer within the 5-year timeframe. The objective of this evidence review is to determine whether using mammography-based AI risk prediction software for breast cancer improves the net health outcome in individuals undergoing bilateral screening mammography.
